Promoting young talent in the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) is particularly important to us. Many of us once ended up in the field of computer science ourselves through inspiring extracurricular experiences and we also want to whet people's appetite for science. In our numerous activities to promote young talent, we aim to distance ourselves from traditional role models and encourage girls and boys alike to retain their natural curiosity and try their hand at exciting technical topics. Many interested young people have already been able to get a taste of IT at Lucom during a Girls' Day, career exploration day or school internship. As a partner of the Science Week (NaWiWo), we also receive annual visits from the ninth grades of the two Erkrath grammar schools and are pleased to be able to provide insights into our professional field.
